Eighth-graders to host ‘Resilience Cafe’

Mountain Middle School eighth-graders will be giving spoken-word performances during a “Resilience Cafe” event at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Animas City Theatre, 128 E. College Drive.

Students researched resilient figures in U.S. history, made connections between those figures and local individuals and came up with spoken-word poetry. The poems will honor community members whose stories have inspired the students.
