Super Trivia event to raise funds for DAC

Trivia buffs can test their knowledge of useless information Wednesday at Super Ted’s Super Trivia, a fundraiser for the Durango Arts Center.

The event will take place at 6:12 p.m. in the DAC Theatre, 802 East Second Ave. Teams of up to five members will compete in several rounds of trivia in subjects like history, geography, sports and entertainment. Prizes will be awarded to the overall winning team and the winners of each round, and there will be individual prizes as well.

The entry fee is $100 per team, and spectators can watch the action for $5 a person. Teams can register at DAC beginning at 5 p.m.

Rosalind Farbush work exhibited in Durango

Longtime Durango art and early childhood teacher Bonnie Ward is displaying the artwork of her mother, the late Rosaline Farbush, this summer at the Bowman Hall Art Gallery in Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 419 San Juan Drive.

Farbush was a master painter and Boston Expressionist who also lived in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She was a student of the famous German Expressionist Max Beckman and won many awards in her career.

The show is up now. The gallery is free and open to viewers on Sundays until 1 p.m., and during special events. The exhibit will run through September. Call 426-9685 for more information.
