Attend MicroGrants reception at DAC

The 2015 MicroGrants Artist Reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. May 7 at Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Ave.

The reception will honor the 10 artists selected to receive MicroGrants this year. MicroGrants support regional artists with small but significant funds for innovation, creative development and artistic momentum. This date also coincides with First Thursdays Art Walk and will preview Pivot Point.

Performance for scholarships

The Ben Gibson Band with Big Mama Donna will play rock and blues from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Balcony Backstage, 600 Main Ave., Suite 205.

The cost is $20 for music, dinner and dessert. Money raised will support scholarships for Tiospaye Trans-formational Training.
