Open Shutter Gallery announces exhibits
The Open Shutter Gallery, 735 Main Ave., will present an exhibit of regional and Midwestern photographs by Durango resident Deborah Sussex in a show titled “Back There, Here Now,” in the Red Room.
The show will begin July 3 and continue through Aug. 5. An opening reception will take place in the Red Room with Sussex from 5 to 8 p.m. July 3. This will coincide with the opening reception for James Cammack and O. Rufus Lovett in the main room, also from 5 to 8 p.m.
An exhibit of elegant black-and-white photographs by Cammack and Lovett will be part of a show titled “Home Sweet Homes.” Lovett explores the familial aspects of a tight-knit community in eastern Texas called Weeping Mary. Cammack elaborates on the importance of place and the experience of having two different homes that are worlds apart. The show begins July 3 and continues through Aug. 5.
