Residencies open at Willowtail Springs

Applications are now being accepted for one-week artist residencies at Willowtail Springs Nature Preserve and Education Center near Mancos.

Tucked away in the high desert of the Four Corners, Willowtail offers an opportunity for artists to write, practice music, compose songs, paint, draw, photograph and more.

Sorrel Sky announces workshop series

Sorrel Sky Gallery will host a series of workshops taught by artists starting in February.

Patsy Davis will teach “Sculpture for Bronze” Feb. 21-22.

Stephen Day will teach “Basics of Landscape Painting” from Feb.27-March 1.

Mimi Bonkowske will teach “Pine Needle Basketry” from March 14-15.

Peggy Immel will teach “Elements of Landscape Painting” on March 27-29.

Linda St. Clair will teach “Painting Animals with Emotion” on April 10-12.

Edward Aldrich will teach “Painting Animals” from April 24-26.
