Anasazi Heritage Center provides curation tours
The Curation staff at the Bureau of Land Management Anasazi Heritage Center will provide weekly “Behind-the-Scenes” tours of its curation and collections management facility at 2 p.m Thursdays from May 1 through October 30.
The tour provides an opportunity to understand why artifacts are preserved and how the curation process supports ongoing research. Each tour lasts about one hour.
The Anasazi Heritage Center is one of three federal repositories for archaeological materials managed by the BLM and provides long-term storage for artifacts from public land in Southwest Colorado.
Space is limited for the tours. For safety reasons, tours are limited to adults and upper-age children. Make reservations by calling 882-5600.
