Music festival artistic director to meet public
Matt Albert, conservatory artistic director for Music in the Mountains, will meet the public from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the festival office, 1063 Main Ave. Albert will meet with interested teachers, parents a community members to discuss Music in the Mountains Conservatory plans for this year and beyond.

Creativity Festivity to celebrate student art
The Durango Arts Center will host an opening reception for the 21st Annual Creativity Festivity: Origins from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. It will include a presentation of poetry readings from fourth-graders.
A high school poetry slam will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Creativity Festivity showcases the work of local students and celebration creative work being made in schools.
The festivity will be on display through May 10 at the Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Ave., 259-2606, www.durangoarts.org.
