Family Festivo returns to Rotary Park

Family Festivo, Music in the Mountains’ free community music event, will return to Rotary Park today.

The concert, which also includes free lunch, will take place at 11 a.m. today at the park, 1565 East Second Ave. Music in the Mountains musicians will play a show of family-friendly classical music palatable to all ages. In addition, the Powerhouse Science Museum will offer games and science-themed activities.

Sneaky Pete to play Concert in the Park

Sneaky Pete and the Secret Weapons, a six-piece funk band from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, will play the final Concert in the Park of the summer from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday in Buckley Park.

The band plays high-energy funk rock, with a repertoire that ranges from originals to covers of bands like Frank Zappa and the Buena Vista Social Club.
