MarchFourth! performance is Feb. 13 at the Fort
MarchFourth! will perform at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College.
The dance floor will be open. MarchFourth!’s original music is anchored by funky electric bass and has evolved into a rocking guitar and vocal-driven journey from the swamps of Louisiana to the gypsy camps of Eastern Europe to the African jungle by way of Brazil, echoing the deepest grooves of American funk, rock and jazz. Tickets are $25 to $29, available by calling 247-7657, at www.durangoconcerts.com, or visiting the ticket office inside the Welcome Center at 8th Street and Main Avenue. Ticket office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. On show days, the box office at the Concert Hall will be open one hour prior to curtain. All sales are final.
Dinner and movie night goes Greek at arts center
A Greek-themed dinner and a screening of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” will be held 5:30 p.m., Feb. 13 at the Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Ave. The cost is $75 per person and $140 per couple.
Artist workshops offered and call for artists
The Durango Arts Center announces the following artist workshops for adults:
Again with Barbara Horn from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, 22 and 29. Class will incorporate SoulCollage, writing, improvisation and other expressive modes. Cost is $50 for DAC members and $60 for non-members.
“The Saturday Series” presents “Viewpoints: An Inspiring Approach to Creating Theatre with Leah Brewer” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 6. This workshop will go over the basics of Viewpoints technique: exploration of space and time, improvisational movement and speaking, and ensemble building. This workshop is suitable for all experience levels and can be helpful to actors, choreographers, directors, designers, dramaturgs and writers.

Tickets for Durango Blues Train go on sale Monday
Tickets for the Durango Blues Train’s two consecutive evenings of live blues aboard the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad on June 3 and 4 go on sale at DurangoBluesTrain.com at 10 a.m. Monday.
These evenings’ musical guests will be Ben Miller Band, Moreland & Arbuckle, Eagle Eye Williamson, Cary Morin, The Bones of J.R. Jones, and Brian Keith Wallen.
The trip begins at the train depot at 7 p.m. The train returns back to the depot in Durango at approximately 10:20 p.m. Guests can enjoy beverages, including beer and wine, and light snacks while riding the train.
Tickets are $95 per person, plus a 7 percent Historic Train Preservation fee. Tickets are extremely limited and purchasers must be 21 years old to participate.
