Library to host film screening

The Durango Public Library will host a screening and discussion of “Durango and Abu Dhabi: A Cross-cultural Exchange” at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The film by Kim Martin is about modern Middle Eastern women. It presents several women from Durango together asking questions of women in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates about their loves, values and opinions.

The intent of the film is to provoke conversation and address damaging misconceptions many carry about the Middle East.

This event is sponsored by the Great Decisions Forum Policy Discussion Program, which is hosted by the League of Women Voters.
