Artwork may feature noxious weeds

On the first page of the Herald’s Arts & Entertainment section from June 30 is a photo of Music in the Mountains 2017 official poster.

I’m wondering if the artist created the artwork from an actual photograph or her imagination?

It immediately struck me that the “sea of wildflowers” looked suspiciously like the invasive species known as the oxeye daisy, a List B species identified in the Colorado Noxious Weed Act.

If the artwork was indeed created based on a real-life photo or previous first-hand visit to the site, perhaps some event proceeds could be dedicated to eradication or at least remediation and reduction of this noxious (albeit pretty) species.
