Gail Schwartz’s attacks on Rep. Scott Tipton for selling our public lands are laughable. Congressman Tipton has been a huge supporter of the outdoor recreation community in Colorado and I want to thank him for his continued commitment to multi-use access to our public lands.
The designation of the Hermosa Creek Special Management area came to the huge delight of anglers across Colorado and the rest of the country.
His work on the Sage Grouse stopped millions of acres of Colorado land from being listed as critical habitat, a move that would have such down economic and recreational activity on much of that land.
His work for the off-road community ensured its continued access to our public lands. And the Chimney Rock area is a wonder of natural and cultural history that also provides for wonderful hiking and scenic opportunities.
Tipton also went up to bat for the ski industry, lobbying on its behalf to stop the U.S. Forest Service from attempting to claim their water rights.
So whether you like to ski, fish, hike, go off-roading or just enjoy the beautiful scenery that Colorado has to offer, Scott Tipton has stood up and fought for you, regardless of what Gail Schwartz may have you believe. These attacks leveled against him on our public lands are a joke and anyone who has looked into Scott Tipton’s record will know that.
