Dance students ages 6-15 are invited to audition for roles in the State Street Ballet’s “Nutcracker” from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Sunday at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College.
Dancers are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for their audition time.
Female dancers must have their hair secured in a bun and wear a leotard, tights and ballet shoes. Male dancers should wear dance pants or sweatpants and ballet shoes. If a dancer does not have dance wear, they should wear clothes they can move in, with their hair pulled back from the face.
Students ages 12 to 15 may bring pointe shoes if they have them.
Dancers are asked to come to the orchestra-level theater door to register with volunteers and wait for to be invited into the theater to audition with their group.
There is no fee to participate or audition.
Audition times are by age group:
- Age 6-7: 10-10:45 a.m.
- Age 8-9: 10:45-11:30 a.m.
- Age 10-11: 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
- Age 12-15: 12:15-1:15 p.m.
Note: Dancers 12 and older must be vaccinated, and masks are required at all rehearsals.
