The city of Aztec will hold the first public meeting to update the city of Aztec Comprehensive Plan at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be facilitated by the city’s consultant, Consensus Planning, with discussion of where the community sees Aztec growing in the next 20 years. The Comprehensive Plan addresses many aspects of the community, including land use, economic development, housing and neighborhoods, transportation, infrastructure, community services and facilities, hazard mitigation and implementation.
The meeting will include a presentation by the consultant and an opportunity for the participants to express their vision for the future of Aztec.

As part of this planning process, the city has also released a community survey that will provide direction in preparing the Comprehensive Plan. All residents are encouraged to take the survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/AztecCompPlan.
