Four Corners Back Country Horsemen will sponsor “Hoof Biomechanics and Orthotics for Performance and Longevity” at 3 p.m. July 27 at Durango Cowboy Church, 1867 State Highway 172.
Live polymer horse shoeing demonstrations will feature:
- Michael Steward, DVM, pioneer of biomechanical approaches to hoof health and designer of the Steward Matrix Clog.
- Tyler Raymer, glue-on specialist and performance/movement expert from the Tryon International Equestrian Center.
- Matt Lawlor, owner/operator of Emerald Lake Horseshoes and inventor of the formula for the polymer shoes being used.
The cost is $25 for 4CBCH members (join at 4cbch.org), and $55 for nonmembers.
