As part of the “Light of Unity” festival, the Baha’is of La Plata County will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Baha’u’llah, founder of the Baha’i Faith, from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 22 at Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
Baha’u’llah was a spiritual teacher who announced a new revelation from God in 1863. His teachings of social transformation and community building have spread throughout the world.
The event is free and open to all.
