The League of Women Voters La Plata County, in partnership with Fort Lewis College’s Political Science Department and The Durango Herald, will sponsor a statewide ballot issues forum from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fort Lewis College, Center of Southwest Studies, Lyceum, Room 120.
There will be a combination of student-produced videos and LWV presentations about the ballot issues. A panel of students and LWV members will give the audience opportunities to ask questions to engage both students and the community in the elections.
Ballot issue pamphlets will be available at the forum and at local libraries in Durango, Bayfield and Ignacio as well as the La Plata County Election Office, located inside the Clerk and Recorder’s Office at 98 Everett St., Suite C.
The forum will be livestreamed on the Herald’s Facebook page and website.
