Don't mail your election ballot back to the county clerk at this late date. Drop it off at one of the designated places, such as this 24/7 drop box outside Bayfield Town Hall. Other 24/7 drop boxes are at Farmers Fresh Market in Ignacio, the La Plata County Administration Building, 1101 E. 2nd Ave. in Durango, or the County Clerks main Office south of the Centennial Shopping Center in Durango.
Ballots also may be turned in, or vote in person on touch-screen computer, at voter service centers at the county clerk's main office and the annex in Bayfield Town Hall, or at the county fairgrounds. The service centers also will be open tomorrow from 8 a.m. to noon. On election day they'll be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ballots can be dropped off at the Fort Lewis College Student Union today and Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Ballots in their signed envelopes must be in one of these locations by 7 p.m. Tuesday.
