I have two suggestions to help curb the enormous number of school shootings:
1. My friend from New Orleans told me about their rules for school backpacks. They must all be clear! This applies to public, private and charter schools. Teachers, principals and students can all see everything that is brought to school.
2. Ban all trench coats, where assault rifles, guns and weapons of mass destruction can be hidden.
We must protect our students no matter the cost, the convenience or the complaining of the NRA.
