The Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado has awarded Eric Jones, a senior vice president commercial lender with Bank of the San Juans, as their Lender of the Year.
Jones, who began his career at Coca-Cola in Durango before becoming a banker, is a Fort Lewis College graduate and has served on the FLC Foundation Executive Board since 2009 as well as the Skyhawk Athletic Association since 2003.
Jones started with Bank of the San Juans in April 2013 with previous banking experience from First National Bank of Durango. Region 9 recognizes Jones for always coaching and encouraging his customers to a high standard.
The award was established by Region 9’s 12-member loan committee. The criteria include the professionalism of the lender, community impact ease in working with Region 9 and referrals to Region 9 programs. For more information, contact Region 9 at 247-9621.
