Animas City Theatre and Prohibition Herb will launch the Battle of the Bands series this weekend at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, at Animas City Theatre, 128 E. College Drive.
This will be the first of four nights bands will compete. Rounds two and three will be held July 20 and Aug. 17, with the series finale taking place Sept. 21.
Four to five bands will be selected to perform on any of the three dates. The winner on each night will advance to the Battle of the Bands Final. The winning band will win $1,000. Prizes for second and third place will be announced before the finale.
