Bayfield 160 to have work done

On Monday, the Colorado Department of Transportation-Region 5 will start repair work and asphalt resurfacing on U.S. Highway 160 from mile post 103 in Bayfield east to mile post 117 at the bottom of Yellow Jacket Pass.

The $5.2 million highway project, which was awarded to contractor Old Castle, also involves the installation of a new guardrail.

According to a CDOT press release, “Work will be done Monday through Friday, with hours changing as summer progresses – from 30 minutes after sunrise to 30 minutes before sunset. Motorists should expect 15-minute delays and single-lane, alternating traffic through the work zone.”
