The Bayfield High School football semi-final playoff game is a "grinder," according to a Wolverine mom watching the game in La Junta.
It's been a first half of primarily defense in the first half, with Bayfield scoring one touchdown on an 85-yard pass from Josh Westbrook to Brian Mashak in thes second quarter. The extra point wasn't good. A La Junta Tiger touchdown toward the end of the second quarter was called back on a holding call.
