Bayfield's third annual Summer Block Parties are set this year for May 17, June 21 and July 19, and the second season of the Bayfield Downtown Farmers' Market will kick off at the June 21 event.
The block parties are organized by local volunteers, the Bayfield Chamber of Commerce, and the Town of Bayfield.
Sponsorships also are available and are due April 13 to have sponsors' names included on this year's posters and other materials. Sponsorship levels are $500, $250 and $100. Sponsorships can be arranged by calling Town Manager Chris LaMay at 884-9544.
Vendors are being asked to showcase their businesses by giving out coupons, free samples, interactive games and other marketing ideas. The first Block Party will be held on Mill Street from 6 to 8 p.m. with vendors arriving at 4:30 p.m. via Church Street. Vendor space is free, but all vendors must complete an application and have a Bayfield business license. Applications for block party vendors are available at Bayfield Town Hall or online at bayfieldgov.org.
