Bayfield Block Party is tonight

The second Bayfield Block Party of the summer is set to take place on Thursday, June 15, and will feature the kickoff of the Bayfield Downtown Farmers Market.

The Jelly Belly Boogie Band is set to provide live music. Volunteers from the Friends of the Pine River Library will provide children's activities and volunteer in the beer tent.

The first block party was held on May 25 after being postponed a week due to wind and cold weather.

"We are asking for clear skies and no wind on Thursday!" joked organizers of the event, which is coordinated by the Bayfield Chamber of Commerce, Town of Bayfield, and other community volunteers.

Vendor space is free, but a business license is required for anyone selling items at the event. License applications are available on the town's website.
