Team gets highest scores of all schools at Grand Junction event
The 3A regional champion Bayfield Wolverettes are Madi McInroy, Maddy Ratzmann, Callie Jung, Kelea Damp, Peri Milner, Coach Lori Nistler, Rylie O'Connell, Devry Michaeli and Claudia Vega.
The Bayfield High School dance team, the Wolverettes, exult after taking the 3A regional title on Saturday in Grand Junction. The BHS girls also received the top score of any team at the event.
The Bayfield Wolverette dance team didn't just win their 3A regional dance competition on Nov. 18 in Grand Junction, they had the highest overall score out of 11 teams competing at the event.
The eight members competed at the Western Colorado Regional competition. They are coached by Lori Nistler. The girls have performed at home football games all fall, and they're preparing their winter routines for basketball games. Their next competition is the CHSAA State Spirit on Dec. 9 in Denver.
