Should Bayfield School District integrate four-day school weeks in the next school year’s calendar, or should the school district stick to the traditional schedule that has kids in class Monday through Friday?

The school district announced on its official Facebook page that it is hosting three community forums to get parent and public feedback to figure out how it will arrange its academic calendar for the 2022-23 school year.

The first forum was held Tuesday night. Other forums include: 5 p.m. Wednesday at Bayfield Primary School Gymnasium and 5:30 p.m. Monday at Bayfield Intermediate School Commons.

Bayfield Superintended Kevin Aten did not return a phone call seeking details about why the school district is consider a four-day school week.
