Bayfield Heritage Days accepting sponsorships

Planning for the Bayfield Heritage Days and Sheep Trailing planning is underway, with opportunities available for local businesses or individuals who want to sponsor the annual festival or organize an event.

Sponsorship levels are $300, $200 and $100, and include advertising on the event website and facebook page. Higher levels will receive increased recognition and two free Heritage Days shirts.

Bayfield Heritage Days are set for Sept. 28 and 29. Friday night events include a brisket dinner and performance by the Bar D Wranglers.

On Saturday, the 5K fun run hosted by Boy Scout Troop 506 will start at 8 a.m. Pre-registration is due Sept. 15 for $15, registration the day of the race is $20.

After that, the Brown family sheep will come through town on the Buck Highway at about 9 a.m. The sheep run on their own time, so this is approximate.

After the sheep trailing, there will be a parade on Mill Street, followed by family activities and live music in Joe Stephenson Park. A new event this year is a timed hay bale carry, sponsored by AJs Greenhouse, The Billy Goat Saloon and Momentum Fitness.

More information and registration for the 5K is available at www.bayfieldcoheritagedays.org.
