Bayfield High School theater students will take center stage alongside a man-eating plant on four separate occasions in April.

The high school’s theater club, overseen by Director Claire Angeline Harvey and Musical Director Derek Smith, will perform “Little Shop of Horrors,” the 1980s off-Broadway musical hit, at the school’s Performing Arts Center on April 4, 5, 12 and 13, according to a news release on the Bayfield School District’s website. Each show will start at 7 p.m.

“We have many new faces in our theater club this semester and I'm glad we could support them in putting on this show,” Harvey said in the release. “I’m so impressed and proud of the teamwork and creativity the cast and crew are showing in the rehearsal process as it takes a lot of work, but we know that it will pay off soon for memorable performances.”

There are 15 cast members and nine crew members working on this year’s show, per the release.

“My favorite aspect of this production in particular is watching the students take a musical they know well and make it their own,” Harvey said in the release.

This will be Harvey's third musical production at the Performing Arts Center, and the sixth play overall she has directed in three years, the release said.

General admission tickets cost $12. Staff, students and seniors can get in for $10, while children under the age of 5 can see the show for free.
