Bayfield history on exhibit at library

Your local museum, the Pine River Valley Heritage Society, has an exhibit in the Pine River Valley Library's front entrance with the history of our pioneers who settled this valley in the 1870s to the 1900s. Some of the artifacts donated by the pioneers are on display along with photos. This exhibit will be at the library until May 1, and then the items will be back at the museum for its seasonal opening on May 30 through Sept. 26. We hope you will stop by and read about the settling of Bayfield and the Pine River Valley and later come to the museum where many more donated artifacts are on display.

We are located at 11 West Mill Street and will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, but your generous donations help to keep the lights on. Group tours can be arranged by calling Tony Schrier at 884-7636 or Jim Frahm at 884-1876. This is a small, unique museum and we are proud to share our heritage with all of you.
