Following the insights received through stakeholder meetings, focus groups, and preference survey, the Bayfield Comprehensive Plan Update project is now seeking additional public input and feedback at an open house next week.
The town invites those interested to stop in to review what has been accomplished and to provide additional comments on the comprehensive plan, including proposed future land use classifications, future growth area boundaries, and draft plan recommendations.
The open house is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the Pine River Senior Center at 111 W. South Street.
Community members can find draft documents, project calendar, and a link to the survey on the project website at www.planbayfield.com.
The town hired RG and Associates to update the plan, and the update is partially funded through a $50,000 grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs Energy and Mineral Impact Assistance program, with a local match from the town.
