Ribbon cutting to be held at 5 p.m. Monday
Teachers at Bayfield Intermediate School are participating in staff training this week. The school opens on Tuesday following a year of construction.

Richard Coulson's fourth-grade class is almost ready for students to arrive at the new Bayfield Intermediate School on Tuesday.
Playground equipment is ready for students to arrive Tuesday at Bayfield Intermediate School. A ribbon cutting will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, preceded by one at 4 p.m. at the newly renovated Bayfield Elementary School.
Residents, school board members and employees are thanked for the construction of the new Bayfield Intermediate School.
Along with new backpacks and new shoes, students at Bayfield Intermediate School will have a new school on Tuesday.
Bayfield Elementary also has been renovated to house kindergarten through second grades.
Both projects, along with security upgrades at the middle and high schools, cost almost $39 million. The district received a state grant for $8.5 million to help pay for the construction and renovation. At 4 p.m. Monday, there will be a ribbon cutting at Bayfield Primary School, followed by one at 5 p.m. at Bayfield Intermediate School. Open houses will be held after each ribbon cutting.
