Feb. 13, 10:30 a.m.: Death Cafe: A Death Cafe is a time and place where people come to share food, drink tea or coffee, and discuss death openly and honestly. Our aim is to increase awareness about death in order to help people make the most of their (finite) lives. There is never an intention of leading participants to any conclusion, product or course of action. Interesting conversations are guaranteed! A Death Cafe is not a bereavement support or grief counseling setting, nor is it place to give people information about death and dying. It is not for people who, for whatever reason, are unwilling to discuss the subject of death comfortably and openly.

Feb. 27, 10:30 a.m: Conscious Elder Wisdom Circle: This is the beginning of an ongoing gathering of elder men and women who understand that a lifetime of experience, lessons learned and knowledge gained gives them wisdom worth sharing with others. We will have an opportunity together to share and explore topics such as: what is deeply meaningful to each of us as we age, our feelings about stereotypes of elders, learning tools to increase our wisdom altogether, the challenging role of elders in modern society, and becoming a community of like-minded elders. So, let us come together, share and deepen the wisdom we've learned, enrich the lives of each other, and in turn, do so for our families, friends, community, and even the world at large. Elders and soon-to-be-elders are welcome to participate.
