Bayfield Manager Katie Sickles works in my best interests

I am disheartened to read of the ongoing attacks on Bayfield Town Manager Katie Sickles by Trustees Alexis Hartz, Tom Au and Kat Katsos, et al. As a six-year resident of Bayfield, a place where I plan to live out my last dying days, I voted in the last election and will continue to do so until I can no longer. I do not care if Ms. Sickles works in the best interests of the town trustees! Katie Sickles works in my best interests!

Ms. Sickles effectuated a utility relief program for disabled folks and others who live on low incomes, a program in which I participate. Ms. Sickles is always available to address my needs as a disabled person. She guided me in conducting a tree survey of the trees growing in the town, obviously concerned for the aesthetics of the town and the well-being of the planet. Ms. Sickles investigated a bike registration program for me and my new e-bike, showing concern for safety of resident property and the bike lanes being developed in town.

Just as easily as I voted for the current town trustees to assume office, I can vote them out of office. Knock it off and get back to work on the real issues facing Bayfield. Ms. Sickles cannot do it alone, as it is your job as trustees to work on my behalf.
