Bayfield Marshal's office wants to hear from drivers who were run off County Road 501 on Monday

Bayfield Marshal Joe McIntyre wants to hear from anyone driving on County Road 501 Monday morning who was run off of the road.

Marshal's deputies and other law enforcement were pursuing Michael Fisher Wilson, 20, after he allegedly tried to rob the Grocery Store at Bayfield, then drove north on County Road 501.

"If any drivers were traveling southbound during pursuit yesterday, and they were run off the roadway, we'd like them to contact us," McIntyre said. The office is trying to identify potential victims or witnesses of the incidents.

A deputy pursued Wilson from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. or so, McIntyre said. Wilson reached speeds of up to 80 mph before abandoning his car, police said. He was arrested Monday afternoon in Vallecito.

The marshal's office can be reached at 884-9636.
