Bayfield residents who may need to tidy up their home or business will have a chance to get rid of excess junk.

A “Spring Clean Up” day will be held at 8 a.m. May 18 at the Public Works shop, located at 905 Community Lane on the east side of town, according to the town of Bayfield’s Facebook page.

Items that will be accepted include mattresses or any other type of furniture, lumber, scrap metal, carpet or tile flooring, open and dried paint cans, and tree branches that are less than 8 feet long, the post said.

Tree stumps, rocks, concrete slabs and bricks, batteries, tires, old refrigerators, air conditioner units, and items that may be flammable or corrosive are among those that will not be accepted.

The cleanup will last until the dumpsters are filled.
