One of the most important functions designated by the State of Colorado to a Board of Education is the selection of the school district's superintendent of schools. The Bayfield School Board wants you to know that we take that responsibility very seriously. As an important part of the selection process, we hope to gather input and feedback from the students, staff, and community members, regarding what you feel are key characteristics you would like to see in our future superintendent. We greatly value your thoughts and ideas.
We would like to invite interested community members to join us at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16 in the Bayfield High School Library to discuss essential qualifications, traits, and characteristics of a future Superintendent. This meeting will last 60 to 90 minutes to ensure that we have an opportunity for your desires to be heard. All Board of Education members will be present to help facilitate your opportunity for input.
We hope that you will attend this very important meeting. We greatly appreciate the support our community provides to our schools and district.
Janie Hoover, board president
Bayfield School District Board of Education
