I would urge you to vote for R. Michael Bell for the La Plata Electric Association board for numerous reasons.
A long-time resident of Durango, Michael has been an active and integral part of our community for over four decades. His experience as an architect, designing homes and businesses throughout La Plata County, provides a rich and diverse ability to collaborate with city and county governments, boards, and community groups. He has focused on his clients’ needs for affordable, sustainable, energy-efficient structures.
Michael is an open-minded listener who will devote his time and resources to represent all of his constituents. Having served on a local bank board, he understands his fiduciary responsibility to the co-op’s members and will work tirelessly to represent the perspectives of his district.
He voluntarily attended board meetings to gain an understanding of the issues and challenges facing LPEA and he is ready to hit the ground running.
He is a mediator by nature who can bring varying viewpoints together and will work to increase LPEA’s renewable portfolio to 10 percent or better.
Please mark your ballot for R. Michael Bell as our next representative on the LPEA Board of Directors.
