Bayfield Elementary School Principal Diane Chambers and counselors Peggy Whiteman and Rob Stafford presented Presidential Awards for Academic Achievement and Academic Excellence, and Citizenship Awards to select students at an end of year assembly on May 20.
They presented Presidential Awards for Academic Achievement for significant academic growth during the school year to six fifth graders - Irene Newman, Kira Reily, Kaylee McIntosh, Anthony Parrish, Xander Hovenstein, and Zac McSweeney.
They presented Presidential Awards for Academic Excellence (90 percent or better GPA) to 17 fourth and fifth graders - Autumn Fischer, Macee Schulz, Brooklyn Moore, Karah Lovejoy, Paige Wennerstrom, Summer Hollingsworth, Ayanna Hight, Greer Miller, Matthew Belleau, Karley Pollock, Madison Wells, Emma Whitmer, Madison McInroy, Elsa Kopf, Alyssa Fischer, Kaeli Marx, and Hunter Bayles.
American Citizenship Awards are sponsored by the National Association of Elementary School Principals. Two students in each classroom from grades two through five were selected. They are:
Second grade - Brooklyn Messier, Cody Bales, Whitney Lake, Brad Foutz, Rylee Upson, Rhys Edwards, Megan Stumpf, and Cody Ross.
Third grade - Bailey Martinez, Bryan Wood, Lindsay Lamay, Donald Ladvina, Adi Hooks, Anthony Curtsinger, Lainey Kopf, Jacob Newman, Ava Jarvis, and Max Myers.
Fourth grade - Macey Moore, Cael Schafer, Kaylee Frank, Kayden Goodwin, Aiden Abdullah-Boehm, Bryson Kreeger, Paige Porter, and Makay Balzen.
Fifth grade - Ayanna Hight, Matthew Belleau, Paige Talbot, Sean Madden, Madison McInroy, Grant Kennett, Madison Wells, Kellin Vagneur, Leah Davis, and Jacob Lister.
