For the International Day of Peace, students at the Bayfield Elementary and Primary schools formed a big circle and created a giant peace sign in the field at Bayfield Elementary School. Students also created pinwheels spelling out P-E-A-C-E in the front lawn. The United Nations established Peace Day in 1981.
More than 600 students created the sign, then stood quietly for a moment of silence.
