In a cumbersome health care environment, choosing the right plan for your health needs can be a challenge. Local health insurance representatives will help people sort through complexities at the free Health Insurance Information and Enrollment Event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
The open enrollment period for 2019 health coverage runs through Dec. 15. After Dec. 15, people typically can’t enroll unless they qualify for a special enrollment period, which would include life changes such as getting married, having a baby or losing other health coverage. The 44th annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Festival at the La Plata Fairgrounds will take place from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
Artisans from the Four Corners will sell a host of items from barrel art, ornaments and pottery to Christmas decor, food, spices, wine and much more.
Other items for sale include fly-fishing art, functional kitchen items, furniture, clothing, gemstones and items for cats and dogs.

Snow Glow Holiday Concert, 7 p.m., Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive. Cost is $10 for the public and free for FLC students and those younger than 18.
