Best bets in and around Durango

Ring in the New Year at the Animas City Theatre’s New Year’s Eve circus, burlesque and dance party. The show features music from Secret Circus Society, Profetic Calaveras and DJ Vanny Vance.

General admission standing room is $45 for early birds and $60 at the door. There are VIP Crow’s Nest tickets for $100.

Roaring ’20s New Year’s Eve Party, all evening, Union Social House, 3062 Main Ave. $40 per person. Music and dancing, appetizers, Prohibition-style drinks, fabulous flapper outfits and a champagne countdown.

New Year’s Eve with Wild Country Band, 6 p.m., Weminuche Woodfire Grill, 18044 County Road 501, Bayfield.

New Year’s Eve Masquerade, 6 p.m., Derailed Pour House, 725 Main Ave. VIP tickets are on sale for $225 and include a table, champagne, cheese board, NYE swag, goody bag, balloon drop and a champagne toast at midnight. General admission tickets are also available for $50 but do not guarantee seating. Call 247-5440 to reserve seating for large groups.

Aria Drops the Ball, doors open at 8 p.m., show starts at 9:30 p.m., The Garage Billiards and Music Hall, 121 W. Eighth St., $10 cover, 21 and older.

Durango Tire Fire, 8 p.m., The Powerhouse Science Center, 1295 Camino del Rio. $25 presale, $35 at the door. Must be 18 or older. Dress-up theme is pop and rock stars.

New Year’s Party, until midnight, Purgatory Resort, 1 Skier Place. Bar and cafeteria open until midnight.
