Best bets in and around Durango

The Ignacio Community Library will host a Night Sky Party 5 p.m., Friday. (NASA)

Ignacio Community Library will host a Night Sky Party on Friday, which will blast off at 5 p.m. at the library, 470 Goddard Ave., Ignacio.

The guest of honor will be planet Mercury, the planet closest to the sun. The evening will start with an indoor program and activity and then move outside for telescope viewing.
