Best bets in and around Durango

Best bets this weekend include the WholeExpo, a concert at Chapman Hill and a talk about the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic.

The 25th annual WholeExpo: The Four Corners Showcase of Holistic and Ecological Products, Services and Seminars will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the La Plata County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall, 2500 Main Ave.

The event will feature people and businesses that promote healthy, holistic living and ecological awareness. There will be more than 50 vendors and 22 speakers.

Tickets are $5 for adults, good for both days. Children 12 and younger can attend free.

The Concert on the Hill will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chapman Hill Ice Rink & Ski Area, 500 Florida Road.

Bands include Red Eyed Djinn, The Dole Boys, The Matriarchy and iAM MUSIC group. There will be food, beer and drinks, and arts and crafts vendors.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Iron Horse Bicycle Classic Director Gaige Sippy will look back at the birth and evolution of Durango’s kickoff to summer.

The Powerhouse will host virtual races and offer free access to the community to say farewell to “GEAR UP: The Science of Bikes” exhibit.
