Best bets this weekend include Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering and Four Corners Comedy Festival.
The annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering features a full schedule of musical performances, comedy, the parade, chuck wagon breakfast and more.
On Friday, the Poets in the Community program will feature cowboy poets in schools and other venues. Open air concerts will take place at number of venues downtown, including Balcony Bar and Grill, Four Leaves Winery and the train depot lawn.
Sorrel Sky Gallery and Toh-Atin Gallery will host receptions Friday evening, and the Cowboy Humor show will be held at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College at 6 p.m. followed by the Cowboy Classic performance at 8 p.m.
Saturday will kick off with the Cowboy Chuck Wagon Breakfast at Fifth Street and Main Avenue, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Then, the Cowboy Parade gets started at 10 a.m. at the train depot on Main.

More than 30 comedians will bring their best stand-up acts to downtown venues for the fourth annual Four Corners Comedy Festival.
Headliners Brittany Brave and Elliot Weber will perform at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Durango Arts Center and Powerhouse Science Center.
“One Million Ways to Drag in the West” will take place at 9:15 p.m. Friday at the Powerhouse. On Saturday, “Dead Inside” by Deadroom Comedy will be the 2 p.m. matinee performance at Durango Arts Center.
