SummerNy Ranch with HII Operation Gives will hold a herding competition as a fundraiser to support the Backpack Food Program in Bayfield. The competition will be from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday at 227 County Road 511. Admission is a donation of five cans chunky soup (can or heat and serve) or 10 packets of Knorrs pasta meals. SummerNy Time and Points trials are nonsanctioned herding competitions where winners are based on the most points and the fastest time. Watch dog and handler teams take sheep though a course in a two round plus finals competition.
