SummerNy Ranch with HII Operation Gives will hold a herding competition as a fundraiser to support the Backpack Food Program in Bayfield. The competition will be from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday at 227 County Road 511. Admission is a donation of five cans chunky soup (can or heat and serve) or 10 packets of Knorrs pasta meals. Contribution can be made without attendance online at coloradogives.org/story/Willworkforsoup.

​SummerNy Time and Points trials are nonsanctioned herding competitions where winners are based on the most points and the fastest time. Watch dog and handler teams take sheep though a course in a two round plus finals competition.

The Bayfield Kids 4 Kids Backpack Food Program is a Pine Rivers Shares targeted food drive for elementary school children.
