This weekend brings two unique acts to the Animas City Theatre, 128 E. College Drive. Michael Menert and Late Night Radio will perform at 7 p.m. Friday. Both performances are variations of electronic music.
Menert’s music can be classified as electro hip-hop and chill wave. He is influenced by both Eastern and Western musical traditions. A multi-instrumentalist, he incorporates live guitar and keys into his final production for a full sound and rich feel.
Late Night Radio is hybrid of electronic music, hip-hop, soul and funk. Late Night Radio was influenced by his mother’s singing at Mass and learned music on guitar and piano. He describes his music as “electronic music for people who don’t really like electronic music.”
Tickets are $25. This is a 21-and-older show.
