If you’re not too preoccupi'd or intoxicat'd with Snowdown activities, then maybe check out Pots and Pints at the Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Ave., which is holding its weekly happy hour event for $30 per person. Participants can get their hands dirty while creating a unique and functional Tea Light House. The event will mix creativity with pleasure as a way to unwind from a busy workweek. Attendees can enjoy happy hour drinks, spend time with community artists and hand-build a Tea Light House. By the end of the evening the piece will be ready for glazing. A glaze can be selected to be applied to the ceramic piece when fired. An email will be sent when the piece is ready for pickup and use, usually about 16 days after.
