Two new art exhibits will be opening this Friday, April 14, from 5-9 p.m.
The unveiling of new restroom art by Dan Groth at will be at 11th Street Station, 1101 Main St. The exhibit is free and will be a permanent feature of the commodes. The installation is meant to inspire contemplation when one enters the one person restrooms. This title was chosen by Groth “just because.”

A reception featuring the work of Mariah Kaminsky, Dave Banga and Juanita Nelson will be at Studio & Gallery, 1027 Main Ave. The idea of art filled with light that encourages the viewer to find their own light within is the inspiration behind the new exhibition. Each of the three artists will bring their own interpretation of the theme to the new exhibit. The exhibit runs through April 22.
Kaminsky's works are oil on canvas and focuses on the light from individual characters. Banga’s ash glazes ceramics to brings out a richness that glows. Nelson uses pastel on paper to express the play of light within each piece.
