Best bets this weekend include Fly Fishing 101 and an ’80s-themed dance party.

San Juan Angler will host its Fly Fishing 101 class from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, Bayfield.

The class is free and open to anyone interested in learning to fly fish. Participants will learn the basics of setting up a fly rod, beginner casting skills and entomology. Gear will be provided, but those who have their own gear are invited to bring it to the class.

To register, call Pine River Library at 884-2222, ext. 1, or stop by the library in person.

Celebrate everything ’80s at the ’80s Video Dance and Costume Party at 8 p.m. Friday at Animas City Theatre, 128 E. College Drive.

Dress up in ’80s attire and enjoy popular ’80s videos playing on the theater’s movie screen and music including Ah-Ha to ZZ Top and everything in between.

The event is 21 and older.

Tickets are $5 and are available at the door or online at www.animascitytheatre.com/event/80s-video-dance-costume-party.
